Dry Camping

On July 27, 2006, the Southern Nevada District Board of Health (BOH) unanimously approved the adoption of the Adjunct Section Governing Self-Contained Recreational Vehicle Dry Camping Facilities to the Regulations Governing the Sanitation and Safety of Public Accommodation Facilities. The updated regulations allow existing health-permitted facilities that provide lodging to the public to continue to provide dry camping accommodations to SCRVs legally, without having to meet the requirements of the State of Nevada RV/Campground regulations.

Public Accommodations Hotel/Motel, RV/MHP/SCRV

Hotels, motels, resorts, hostels, bed & breakfast facilities, transient rooming or lodging houses, and other buildings or structure kept as, used as, maintained as, or held out to the public to be, a place where sleeping or rooming accommodations are furnished to the transient public, require permitting and compliance with NRS 447 and the Regulations Governing the Health and Safety of Public Accommodation Facilities.

Septic System Abandonment

The individual sewage disposal system (ISDS) / septic system may be abandoned due to replacement, failure or connection to the municipal sewer. If a septic system is being replaced, a permit must be obtained. Please see the Residential Septic Tank Permit Application Requirements webpage for information on obtaining a new permit.

Commercial Septic System Permits

The Septic System counter is where all commercial holding tank and construction permits are completed. Copies of plot plans and active permits can be obtained by calling (702) 759-0660. Appointments are required to submit your paperwork. Call (702) 759-0660 to schedule an appointment. Permits are issued approximately one week after all paperwork is submitted. Permit fees are due at the time of the application.
