Join the SPARK Youth Advisory Council

Are you a Clark County teen (ages 14–17) interested in making a difference in your community? The SPARK (Students Promoting Awareness Responsibility & Knowledge) Youth Advisory Council brings together individuals from diverse backgrounds to amplify youth voices on public health issues while building leadership and advocacy skills.

Why Join SPARK?

What YOU do as a SPARK member:

  • Collaborate and learn directly from Southern Nevada Health District staff
  • Serve as youth ambassadors for public health and gain valuable hands-on experience.
  • Strengthen your leadership, communication, advocacy, and project coordination skills.
  • Help drive real, positive health outcomes in your community.
  • Connect with peers and professionals, building valuable networks for your future.

Time Commitment

SPARK runs during the school year:

  • Fall: Eight meetings
  • Spring: Five meetings
  • 15 meetings during the fall and spring semester.
