Final Maps

Review Process

  1. Submit final map to Subdivision File Manager.
  2. A comment letter will be sent approximately 30 days after submittal either approving the map or requesting additional information.
  3. Final approval of the map occurs when the following conditions have been met:
    1. All issues addressed, if any, per the final map comment letter
    2. Health district approval of the tentative map and improvement plans
    3. Written approval from the sewer utility (will serve letter)
    4. Written approval from the water utility (will serve letter)
    5. Written approval from the Division of Environmental Protection for both the tentative map and the final Map
    6. Fees are paid
  4. Construction can begin when final map is recorded.

Required on Final Maps

Final maps are reviewed to verify the following is displayed:

  • Name of subdivision
  • Legal description
  • PLS Stamp, signature and date
  • Lot count
  • District Board of Health Certificate PDF (31 KB) verbiage
  • Board of Health certification requires a review of
    • Type of sewer system (community or individual)
    • Type of water system (public or private)
  • Engineer/surveyor
  • Vicinity map
  • Owner’s certificate (of dedication)
    • Water agency (well or name of public utility)
    • Sewer agency (ISDS or name of public utility)
  • Utility agencies and companies approval
    • Water agency (well or name of public utility)
    • Sewer agency (ISDS or name of public utility)
