3. FIRST PUBLIC COMMENT:  There will be two public comment periods. To submit public comment on either public comment period on individual agenda items or for general public comments: A period devoted to comments by the general public about those items appearing on the agenda. Comments will be limited to five (5) minutes per speaker. Please clearly state your name and spell your last name for the record. If any member of the Board wishes to extend the length of a presentation, this may be done by the Chairman or the Board by majority vote.

   1. Nomination of Chair for the At-Large Member Selection Committee; direct staff accordingly or take other action as deemed necessary (for possible action)
   2. Approve At-Large Member Selection Committee Meeting Minutes – June 22, 2020; direct staff accordingly or take other action as deemed necessary (for possible action)
   3. Receive and Consider Applications and Approve Recommendations for At-Large Members for the Southern Nevada District Board of Health and Public Health Advisory Board for the Following Positions for a Two-Year Term Beginning July 1, 2022: direct staff accordingly or take other action as deemed necessary (for possible action)
      • FULL BOARD (3)
        1. One representative who is a physician licensed to practice medicine in this State;
        2. One representative of a nongaming business or from a business or industry that is subject to regulation by the Health District; and
        3. One representative of the association of gaming establishments.
      • ADVISORY BOARD (3)
        1. One representative who is physician licensed to practice medicine in this State, selected on the basis of his or her education, training, experience or demonstrated abilities in the provision of health care services to members of minority groups and other medically underserved populations;
        2. One representative who is a nurse licensed to practice nursing in this State; and
        3. One representative with a background or expertise in environmental health or environmental health services.

6. SECOND PUBLIC COMMENT: A period devoted to comments by the general public, if any, and discussion of those comments, about matters relevant to the Board’s jurisdiction will be held.  Comments will be limited to five (5) minutes per speaker.  If any member of the Board wishes to extend the length of a presentation, this may be done by the Chairman or the Board by majority vote.
