Community Health Volunteers

Community Health Volunteers’ support a variety of programs and projects within the health district to enhance the services we provide to the public.

Our volunteers come to us many ways:

  • College and high school students
  • Community organizations
  • Community residents
  • State agencies
  • Retirees

Volunteer Requirements

You must be:

  • At least 18 years old
  • Able to follow directions
  • Able to stand for extended periods of time if required
  • Able to volunteer a minimum of 20 hours per month
  • Able to interact with the general public
  • Attend monthly meetings

Note: The health district does not participate in court ordered community service.

Signup Process

  1. Call (702) 759-0880 to make an appointment
  2. Complete the volunteer services application PDF 40KB (online or in person)
  3. Watch a Health Information Privacy Protection Act (HIPPA) video
  4. Watch a Volunteer Services presentation
  5. Take identification card photo
  6. Receive work schedule

    • Filing
  • Customer service
    • Answer phones
    • Provide general information
    • Direct customers to appropriate departments
    • Help customers complete forms required to obtain service
  • Product preparation
    • Package specialized products as needed
