Spring into Health: Bicycling in the Valley

Spring is the perfect time to explore the many family-friendly bicycle trails throughout Clark County. In this issue, we’re highlighting scenic, easy-to-ride routes across the Valley where families can enjoy fresh air, sunshine and safe shared-use paths together. Take advantage of the beautiful spring weather while discovering new places to ride.

Summerlin – Trail Park Community Center to Snow Trail Drive
Distance: 1.8 miles (round trip)

Start at 9550 Trails Center Drive and head west along the shared-use path, passing beneath Spring Gate Lane and Crestdale Lane. The paved trail continues smoothly before ending at Snow Trail Drive, offering a comfortable ride through the heart of Summerlin.

Spring Valley – Southwest Corner of Spanish Trails
Distance: 4 miles (round trip)

Begin on West Hacienda Avenue just east of Durango Drive and follow the shared-use path along the south side of Hacienda heading east. Cross South Tioga Way, turn right onto Timber Creek Street and continue to Russell Road for a steady neighborhood ride in Spring Valley.

Henderson – Reunion Trails Park to Acacia Park
Distance: 1.9 miles (round trip)

From the intersection of Chapata Drive and Casady Hollow Avenue, ride north on Chapata Drive before connecting to the shared-use path heading east. After crossing Gibson Road, the route continues to Acacia Park, with park access at both ends for a convenient and enjoyable outing.

Angel Park Trail Loop
Distance: 2 miles (round trip)

The Angel Park Trail offers a smooth, paved route that’s perfect for a relaxed ride in the northwest part of Las Vegas. The mostly flat path runs alongside Durango Drive and near Angel Park Golf Club, providing open views and a comfortable setting for riders of all skill levels. Convenient access at Bruce Trent Park makes it an easy starting point for a casual bike outing.
