Backflow Protection Program
NRS 439, NAC 444 and NAC445A give the Southern Nevada Health District the authority to establish minimum cross-connection protection requirements ensuring safety of the public water system from both pollutants and contaminants.
The health district is working to promote and enhance safe drinking water throughout Clark County.
Health district inspectors are trained to identify water systems having cross-connection protection at permitted food facilities, public bathing facilities, public accommodations facilities and mobile home parks and to ensure that they are compliant with all backflow device administrative requirements.
