The Southern Nevada Health District, Immunize Nevada, and community partners are commemorating National Infant Immunization Week with the Southern Nevada BabyFest Immunizations & Health Fair on Friday, May 1 from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. at the 280 S. Decatur Blvd. public health center.
The health fair will feature community partners offering vision screenings for children, activities for children, and several organizations available to assist local families in accessing health and social services. Sponsors for BabyFest 2020 include Junior League of Las Vegas.
Immunizations will be available for both adults and children during BabyFest. Parents should bring their children’s immunization records as well as their insurance card.
During National Infant Immunization Week, April 27–May 1, the Health District will waive administrative fees for children up to two years old who qualify for the Vaccines for Children program. National Infant Immunization Week is an opportunity to remind everyone that vaccines protect babies and children from 14 illnesses, and the United States currently has the safest and most effective vaccine supply in its history.
