Health District hosts 3rd Annual Environmental Health Expo

What: The Southern Nevada Health District’s third annual Environmental Health Expo is a fun event for kids and the whole family. There will be informative and interactive exhibits that include a working model of a milking cow, how to pack a safe lunch, the big 8 food allergens, information about trash and recycling, and mosquito fish and equipment.

This year’s Environmental Health Expo coincides with the Health District’s Back-to-School activities. Parents and caregivers can make sure their children are immunized and ready for the first day of school while enjoying the Expo!


When: Friday, August 9, 2019
10 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Why: In addition to restaurant inspections, the Health District’s Environmental Health Division is responsible for more than 30 programs that impact nearly everyone in Southern Nevada. The Environmental Health Expo is an opportunity for the Health District to provide program information, hands-on demonstrations, exhibits, and more with the public about programs that impact the public every day.

Who: Health District staff will be available to answer questions and provide demonstrations. Additional community partners include Clark County Air Quality, Nevada Department of Agriculture, Nevada Environmental Health Association, and Nevada Division of Environmental Protection.

The Southern Nevada Health District serves as the local public health authority for Clark County, Boulder City, Henderson, Las Vegas, Mesquite and North Las Vegas.
