HIV/AIDS Call-to-Action

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
December 6, 2018

What:  The Southern Nevada Health District is issuing a call-to-action to community partners and health care providers to implement interventions and strategies to achieve 90-90-90 in Nevada.

90-90-90 is a set of goals that requires a community response to prevent new cases of HIV, increase medical access and screening, and promote linkages to services for those impacted by HIV. The concept is that 90 percent of people who are infected with HIV will be diagnosed, 90 percent of those diagnosed will be on antiretroviral treatment, and 90 percent of those receiving treatment will be virally suppressed.

New Health District initiatives designed to achieve these goals include Academic Detailing training for staff, and the expansion of bio-medical interventions such as PrEP.

When:  Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2018
10 a.m.

Where:  Southern Nevada Health District
Red Rock Conference Room
280 S. Decatur Blvd.
