National Infant Immunization Week, April 27-May 4

LAS VEGAS – Are your baby’s shots up to date? The annual Southern Nevada Baby Fest Immunizations & Health Fair is the perfect opportunity to update your children’s immunizations. The event is 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Friday, May 3 at the Southern Nevada Health District’s 280 S. Decatur Blvd. Public Health Center. Low-cost immunizations will be available for kids who qualify, and parents can update their shots as well. The health fair will offer vision screenings for children, family resources and information, kids’ activities, prizes, giveaways, and more. In addition to the Health District and Immunize Nevada, the Southern Nevada Baby Fest Immunizations & Health Fair is sponsored by AnthemHealth Plan of NevadaJunior League of Las VegasLiberty Dental PlanNevada Health Link, and SilverSummit Healthplan.

During National Infant Immunization Week, April 27-May 4, the Health District will waive vaccine administration fees for children up to two years old who qualify for the Vaccines for Children program.

The Southern Nevada Baby Fest Immunizations & Health Fair is held in conjunction with the annual observance of National Infant Immunization Week (NIIW). This year is NIIW’s 25th anniversary and an opportunity to celebrate the achievements of immunizations, one of public health’s greatest successes. Immunizations protect against 14 serious diseases before the age of two.

The Health District regularly offers immunizations at its public health centers. Service hours vary; check the Southern Nevada Health District Immunization Clinic Locations page on the website or call the immunization clinic at (702) 759-0850 for more information. Fees vary depending upon health insurance status.

Immunization services are available at the following Health District locations:

  • Main Public Health Center, 280 S. Decatur Blvd., Las Vegas
  • East Las Vegas Public Health Center, 560 N. Nellis Blvd., Ste. E12, Las Vegas
  • Henderson Clinic at Touro University, 874 American Pacific Dr, Henderson
    (Monday –Thursday, 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., Friday 8 a.m. – 1 p.m. by appointment only. The office is closed from 1 p.m. – 2 p.m. daily)
  • Mesquite Public Health Center, 830 Hafen Lane, Mesquite
    (Immunization services are available by appointment only Tuesday and Thursday 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., the office is closed daily from 12 p.m. – 1 p.m. for lunch)
