Health District Posts 2012 Summer Edition of the Perspective

LAS VEGAS – The most recent edition of “The Perspective,” the Southern Nevada Health District’s quarterly e-newsletter, is now available on the health district’s website, www.SNHD.info. Each issue provides a public health perspective on a particular topic. The most recent edition continues to celebrate the health district’s 50th anniversary. This issue includes a story titled “From Classroom to Computer: Fifty years of Food Safety Training,” which looks at the evolution of the food handler training program.

Throughout this year, each issue of “The Perspective” includes a public health flashback with memories from long-term health district staff members. This edition’s flashback features an environmental health specialist who has been on staff since 1979 when he was known as a “sanitarian.”
