Health District to Participate in Choose and Move Event

LAS VEGAS – The Southern Nevada Health District is a sponsor and participant in the 7th annual Choose and Move festival between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 25 at the Doolittle Community Center, 1950 North “J” Street in Las Vegas. The event, presented by Community Partners for Better Health, will offer free health screenings and information, a healthy cooking demonstration, dance instructions, and the annual Officer James Manor Memorial police versus firefighter exhibition basketball game. The event is free and open to the public. “Choose and Move offers an opportunity to reach out to members of our community. The event provides information to learn about healthy eating habits and about the importance of physical activity.
