As of Friday, August 28, 2009, the Southern Nevada Health District reports the following information regarding novel H1N1 case counts in Clark County:

Clark County H1N1-related deaths to date: 10*

The health district received confirmation of two additional H1N1-related deaths. The patients were a 41-year-old woman and a 51-year-old man, both of whom had underlying medical conditions. Two patients remain hospitalized with severe illness. The Southern Nevada Health District continues to receive samples from its pediatric surveillance program.

*This number represents Clark County residents only. In early June, the health district reported the death of a hospitalized patient who was a resident of another state.
