SNHD’s Henderson Public Health Center to relocate


Facility will close at 4:30 p.m., Tues., Aug. 29 and re-open Tues., Sept. 5 at new location

LAS VEGAS – August 29, 2006 – The Southern Nevada Health District (SNHD) today announced that it will close its Henderson location at 129 West Lake Mead Drive at 4:30 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 29; the District will re-open at its new location 520 E. Lake Mead Parkway at Burkholder Blvd. at 8 a.m., Tuesday, Sept. 5. Clients seeking back-to-school immunizations are asked to visit the Southern Nevada Health District’s main campus at 625 Shadow Lane, its East Las Vegas Public Health Center at 560 Nellis Blvd., Suite E-12 or at the North Las Vegas Public Health Center, 1820 Lake Mead Blvd., Suite F.

The District will offer extended hours at its Shadow Lane location for back-to-school immunizations through Friday, Sept. 1 when it will remain open until 6 p.m. When it opens next week, the 26,000-square-foot campus will be the largest of the District’s satellite facilities. The new center will provide well baby check ups, family planning, women’s healthcare services, immunizations and flu shots, day care and sports physicals, and health promotion and environmental health programs. The new Henderson center will be open Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. and can be reached by calling (702) 759-1040.
