Emergency Medical Service Responders of the Year Awards

(Las Vegas, Nev., – May 19, 2005) – The Southern Nevada Health District will present Responder of the Year Awards to representatives of the nine licensed Emergency Medical Services (EMS) agencies in Clark County today at 2 p.m. at the Southern Nevada Health District, located at 625 Shadow Lane. The awards presentation will be held in the Clemens Room.

The following individuals will be recognized for their demonstration of excellent patient care, clinical skills, exemplary professionalism and for their exceptional contributions and commitment to the success and advancement of EMS:

  • Brian Arboreen, Henderson Fire Department
  • Troy Cabral, Las Vegas Fire and Rescue
  • Brent Hall, Clark County Fire Department
  • Roy Keefer, American Medical Response
  • James Kindel, Mesquite Fire and Rescue
  • James Parsons, Boulder City Fire Department
  • Robert Rodgers, Mercy Air
  • Frank Simone, North Las Vegas Fire Department
  • Ronald Tucker, Southwest Ambulance

This presentation is being held in recognition of National Emergency Medical Services Week (May 15-21, 2005). According to the American College of Emergency Physicians the week is designed to bring together local communities and medical personnel to publicize safety and honor the dedication of those who provide the day-to-day lifesaving services of the medical “front line.”
