The Southern Nevada Health District’s Employee Health Nurse, Delaney Chastain, leads the Office of Employee Health, a dedicated resource to ensure our workforce receives the same level of care and attention we provide to the community. Delaney’s mission is to support staff wellness, promote health and foster a safe, healthy and thriving work environment.
Essential services from the Employee Health Nurse:
The Office of Employee Health provides a focused range of services designed to support employees throughout their employment. The office oversees or assists with:
- Occupational Health: Conducting new hire health screenings, ensuring immunization compliance and performing post-exposure follow-up and education.
- Immunization and Prevention: Coordinating annual flu clinics, administering recommended vaccines and providing guidance on maintaining immunization records.
- Policy and Resources: Supporting updates to employee health-related policies and promoting continuous learning opportunities.

| Do I need an appointment for a vaccine? | Yes, appointments are required. Please email EmployeeHealthNurse@SNHD.org or call (702) 759-1044 to schedule. |
| Can the Employee Health Nurse provide medical assistance if I’m not feeling well? | The Employee Health Nurse cannot diagnose, treat or dispense medication. However, she can answer minor health questions, administer first aid and assist with accessing additional care when appropriate. |
| Where is the Employee Health Nurse located? | The Employee Health Nurse office is located at the Main Public Health Center in the Immunizations Department. Hours are Monday–Thursday, 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. If you need assistance outside of office hours, please contact your supervisor. |
