Food Handler Safety Training Card services end at Cambridge Community Outreach Center, May 10

LAS VEGAS – The Southern Nevada Health District will discontinue offering Food Handler Safety Training Cards at the Cambridge Community Outreach Center today, Friday, May 10. Food Handler Safety Training Card services are available at the East Las Vegas Public Health Center, the North Las Vegas Public Health Center, the Henderson Public Health Center and at the new, main public health center at 330 S. Valley View Blvd. Visit www.SNHD.info for program service hours.

The Southern Nevada Health District offers full services at its newest location at 330 S. Valley View including food safety training cards and birth and death certificates. The center also offers a range of nursing and environmental health services, and houses its EMS/trauma system office, human resources and administrative offices. The public health center is open Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. -4:30 p.m. Hours of operation vary by program. Check the health district’s website, www.SNHD.info for information on specific program hours of operation.

Nursing services available at the Valley View location include Healthy Kids exams, Kids’ Clinic and the blood lead screenings and the immunization clinic. Environmental health services include the food & beverage establishment inspection program, food, public accommodation and pool plan review, special programs and the vector control office.

Nursing and clinic services and food handler safety training card services are also available at the East Las Vegas, North Las Vegas and Henderson public health. A kiosk for the Food Handler Safety Training course and Food Handler Safety Training Card processing is available by appointment at the North Las Vegas public health center.

The Sexual Health Clinic remains at the 400 Shadow Lane, Suite 106 site and the Tuberculosis Treatment and Control Clinic remains in a building located at 625 Shadow Lane, behind the former facility.
