Clark County Teen Births Mapping

View / Download

Teen pregnancy rates have declined since 2010, both in the United States as a whole and in Clark County. Despite this trend, some youth populations in our community are still disproportionally affected by sexually transmitted diseases and teen pregnancies.

The Southern Nevada Health District Teen Pregnancy Prevention Program (SNHD TPP) in collaboration with the Office of Adolescent Health (OAH), the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) and local Community Based Organizations tracks changes in teen pregnancy rates across Las Vegas and North Las Vegas. By displaying this information in both temporal and spatial map forms, the SNHD TPP can better plan, implement, and evaluate programs aimed at decreasing teen pregnancy.
