Per the Solid Waste Management Authority Regulations, a “waste tire” means a tire that is not fit for use as a tire. For example, if a vehicle has a tire replaced at an automotive maintenance facility, the tire that is removed would be considered a waste tire as the automotive facility has deemed that the tire is no longer fit or safe for continued use.
