Workplace Vaccination Program

Employee Vaccinations

Even the cleanest workplace can pose the potential for contracting dangerous, communicable diseases. Vaccines are an important step to keeping your employees—and customers—healthy. It also means a healthier investment since the average cost to you for an absent, sick employee is about $125 a day.

Therefore, vaccinating your employees against the flu, hepatitis A and B, tetanus, diphtheria and pertussis will ultimately save you money.

There are two easy and convenient ways for your employees to get vaccinated:

  1. Let us come to you. Our specially-trained public health nurses will come to your office and vaccinate your employees. (A small fee may apply.)

  2. Send your employees to us. Normally vaccines are available on a first-come, first-serve basis, which can take hours. However, your employees won’t have to wait if you prearrange the process with us. Your employees will simply call to schedule an appointment. We’ll verify their employment to ensure only your current employees are vaccinated.

Offer Hepatitis B Vaccine - It's the Law
(Per OSHA Bloodborne Pathogen Standard 29 CFR1910.1030, paragraph C)

OSHA requires employers to offer hepatitis B vaccinations to all employees who have reasonable potential of being exposed to body fluids, such as blood, saliva and semen. You can arrange for workplace vaccination program staff to vaccinate your consenting employees.

For information about fees and availability, contact the Workplace Vaccination Program at (702) 759-0878 or wpv@snhdmail.org. Visit Health Topics for detailed information about vaccinations and communicable diseases.
