New Residents of Clark County
TB infection in both lungs. |
The TB Treatment and Control Clinic is responsible for evaluating every abnormal chest x-ray of Class B immigrants in Clark County.
Prior to being admitted into this country, Class B immigrants must submit chest x-rays to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Once the immigrant arrives in Clark County the CDC sends us their x-rays for review.
Class B immigrants with abnormal chest x-rays are not allowed to work in Clark County until their x-rays are reviewed and cleared by the TB Treatment and Control Clinic. If an immigrant is found to have TB, he or she will be required to follow the TB treatment guidelines until they have completed the course of treatment and tested negative for TB infection or disease.
The TB Treatment and Control Clinic is located at the North Las Vegas Public Health Center. Call (702) 759-1369 or email TBClinic@snhdmail.org for more information.
