Testing and Services
Services and testing are available on a drop-in basis and done by specially trained licensed and registered nurses.
The following services are offered at the STD Clinic:
- Diagnosis and treatment of active or suspected cases of:
- Follow-up bloodwork
- Test results and counseling
- High-risk behavior counseling
- Free condoms and instruction on how to safely use them (both male and female condoms)
- Hepatitis A & B vaccination (Twin RX) for established clients
- Injection series for syphilis medication
- Referrals by private physicians
- Seven-day follow-up after sexual assault. The Community Action Against Rape (CAAR) Program provides referral so testing and treatment is free to patient.
- Partner Notification
Clients seeking treatment at the STD Clinic should know that the health district is required to report cases involving assault or abuse to appropriate agencies.
