The Society for Public Health Education (SOPHE) is an
independent international professional organization founded
in 1950.

SOPHE provides leadership to the profession of health education
and to contribute to the health of all people through:

• Advances in health
• Education theory
• Research excellence in health education practice
• Promotion of public policies conducive to health

A local chapter for Nevada was formed in 2000.

By bringing together Health Education resources as a chapter of the National
SOPHE organization, we can impact the communities we serve to work toward
resolving Nevada's health issues.
