Public Health Update #2 - West Nile Virus

The Southern Nevada Health District’s mosquito surveillance program has detected West Nile virus in additional mosquitoes in Clark County; all positive mosquitoes in Clark County have been detected since August.
Affected mosquitoes were found in the Moapa Valley (89025). To date, there have been three confirmed cases of West Nile virus in Clark County residents; it is believed that none of the individuals contracted the disease in Clark County.
