Public Health Update - H1N1 Influenza

As of Friday, July 24, 2009, the Southern Nevada Health District reports the following information regarding novel H1N1 case counts in Clark County:

As the summer progresses, the health district’s influenza surveillance program is receiving fewer reports of seasonal influenza infection, therefore a majority of positive influenza results continue to be novel H1N1. Four patients remained hospitalized.

*This number represents Clark County residents only. In early June, the health district reported the death of a hospitalized patient who was a resident of another state.

** The health district received a report of an additional death on Monday, July 27. This information would normally appear in the following week’s update.
