The Nevada Clean Indoor Air Act The Nevada Clean Indoor Air Act states that employers must clearly and conspicuously post “No Smoking” signs in their facilities at every entrance. Employers are also required to remove all ashtrays and other smoking paraphernalia from any area where smoking is prohibited. Download “No Smoking” signs.
Although smoking restrictions outside and away from buildings or entrances are not included in the Nevada Clean Indoor Air Act, many businesses choose to implement voluntary no smoking policies, which specify a distance away from an establishment where smoking can occur. This type of policy minimizes tobacco smoke from entering a building through entrances, windows, ventilation systems or any other means. This policy also allows clients or customers to enter a facility without too much exposure to secondhand smoke.
