Subdivision Review
The Southern Nevada Health District reviews,
approves, and regulates certain environmental
and health aspects of commercial and residential subdivision developments. The provisions are detailed in the Nevada Revised Statutes
(NRS) and Nevada Administrative Code (NAC) Chapter 278.
The subdivision review and approval process includes a review
of
tentative maps, final maps, and improvement plans. Environmental
Health Subdivision staff verify commitments for water and sewer
service for all proposed residential and commercial subdivisions,
including condominiums and planned unit developments, in Clark
County.
Following certification
for sewage disposal available capacity and water pollution control
permitting by the Nevada Division of Environmental Protection, final
maps are approved by the Health District for sewage disposal, water
quality, and any water supply facilities predicated upon a public
or private water supply and any community or individual system for
disposal of sewage.
