Waste Management Audits
Waste management audits are conducted for businesses that generate hazardous waste in quantities below 220 pounds per month. This universe of generators is called conditionally exempt small quantity generators (CESQG).
CESQGs generate small amounts of hazardous waste but represent a potential impact to the public health and environment of Clark County residents and visitors. If the hazardous waste is improperly handled it could contaminate the County's drinking water and Lake Mead.
Solid Waste & Compliance regulates over 1,800 Waste Audit Facilities annually ranging from large production plants such as Nevada Power to small repair facilities for automobiles, small equipment and dry cleaning establishments.
The waste audit inspection creates a professional relationship with the corporation and small business owner and the Southern Nevada Health District (SNHD) Solid Waste and Compliance Section.
Our services provide the owner(s) of an establishment that generates a regulated waste stream with current knowledge on proper disposal, assistance with understanding the importance of controlling certain waste streams and environmental protection.
