Many of the illegal dumping cases continue to a Solid Waste Management Authority Hearing where a Solid Waste Hearing Officer can assess penalties to the alleged violator based on the evidence presented by the Health District.

Administrative penalties can range from $500 to $5,000 per charge, per day.

Solid Waste Management Authority Hearings are held a on monthly basis. On average, 25 cases are processed each month.
