Notice

NRS 241.020, as amended by the 1977 Legislature, requires that written notice of all meetings of the Southern Nevada District Board of Health be given at least three working days before the meetings. The notice shall include the time, place, location, and agenda of the meeting. Individuals may request notice, but a request for notice lapses six months after it is made. The Southern Nevada District Board of Health informs each requester of this fact by this notation on this copy of the notice mailed to you.

V.Citizen Participation: A period devoted to comments by the general public about matters relevant to the Board’s jurisdiction will be held. Items raised under this portion of the Agenda cannot be acted upon by the Board of Health until the notice provisions of Nevada's Open Meeting Law have been complied with. Therefore, no vote may be taken on a matter not listed on the posted agenda, and any action on such items will have to be considered at a later meeting. Comments will be limited to three minutes. Please step up to the speaker’s podium, clearly state your name and address and please spell your last name for the record. If any member of the Board wishes to extend the length of a presentation, this will be done by the Chairman or the Board majority by vote. All comments by speakers should be relevant to Board action and jurisdiction.
