The Southern Nevada Health District offers a comprehensive benefits package for all regular full-time employees with a value equal to approximately 36.4 percent of your salary:

  • 100 percent Employer-paid retirement contributions to the Nevada State Retirement System

  • 100 percent Employer-paid life and health insurance (disability, medical, vision, dental) for employee
    • Dependent coverage subsidized at 45 percent of cost.

  • Generous vacation benefits:
    • 0-1 year – 3.08 hours accrued bi-weekly. (10 days/yr)
    • 1-8 years – 4.62 hours accrued bi-weekly. (15 days/yr)
    • 8-13 years – 5.54 hours accrued bi-weekly. (18 days/yr)
    • 13+ years – 6.15 hours accrued bi-weekly. (20 days/yr)

  • Sick leave benefits with no cap:
    • 0-10 years – 3.69 hours accrued bi-weekly. (12 days/yr)
    • 10+ years – 4.62 hours accrued bi-weekly. (15 days/yr)

  • 12 paid holidays annually

  • No Social Security deductions

  • Scheduled merit increases of up to 5 percent.

  • Most positions have day shift hours of 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday and weekends off
