Solid Waste Management Fee Schedule

Summary of Plan Review Process

  • A fee must be paid when an application is submitted.
  • If an application is for a permit, change of ownership, or permit medication that changes more than 10 percent of capacity, facility size, or processing/operations area compared to the most current approved application, the application must pay the applicable major medication waste management plan review fee. Otherwise, it is a minor modification.
  • The applicable waste management modification fee must be paid when an application for a permit modification is submitted. If the actual fee is higher, the balance must be paid before the permit is released.
  • If a re-submittal is required, the applicant must pay the applicable waste management re-submittal fee before the permit is released. Refer to the fee schedule for re-submittal fee amounts.
  • The applicant must pay the cost of each public notice, (if applicable), before the permit is released.
  • If the applicant or his or her representative cancels the inspection within 24 hours of the scheduled time, or if a re-inspection is necessary, the applicant must pay the missed appointment fee or the plan review re-inspection fee, respectively, before the permit is released.
  • Once permitted, the permittee must pay the applicable waste management annual fee and will be periodically inspected by permitted disposal facility (PDF) staff.
    • Class I Disposal Sites and Materials Recovery Facilities are inspected at least four times each calendar year, and other types of facility are inspected at least twice each calendar year.
  • The waste management annual fee is not prorated.
    • Any discrepancies between information contained in the most current approved application and the actual construction and operation of the facility or other violation of a permit condition may be grounds for revocation of the permit and enforcement action by PDF staff.
  • Revision submittals resolving special conditions of a permit require the applicant pay a fee before the permit is released.
